They may put that on different market sectors. Like A339 for trans-pacific/atlantic and B78X for domestic and latin america market.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, lower range destinations with large demand, and leave the A339s and 359s to the distance stuff.

One thing I would point out is B787s are carbon composite making them more efficient than their A330Neo counterpart

Delta does already operate A330neos so that would be a advantage on fleet side but pilots prefer staying on the same manufacturer and hence 764->78X

So after the sad demise of Eastern Airways at the back end of last year, a few of the routes were in limbo, however, it appears a new company called Air Charters Scotland is due to do the Aberdeen - Wick route with a Dutch J32 from March, in the meantime a King Air is to be used.

Vueling Airlines, the Barcelona-based low-cost carrier of International Airlines Group (IAG), unveiled “Rumbo 2035”, its strategic roadmap for the next 10 years, on January 14, 2026.

Vueling has confirmed that it will be transitioning from its current all-Airbus fleet to a Boeing 737 MAX one.

EASA pilots perform COMAC C919 certification test flights in Shanghai

According to The South China Morning Post, the flights form part of COMAC’s bid to have the C919 certified by Western regulators and open new business avenues in foreign markets.

Cathay’s second 80th anniversary aircraft has been revealed, 747-8F B-LJE being the one to carry the livery. The sibling that is bare metal currently is supposedly B-LJA.

The first C919-600, tail number B-002U, has rolled out. It is a shortened fuselage version of the C919, jointly developed with Tibet Airlines, intended for operations at high altitude airports.
