Real World Aviation News

Just like in the late 90s when every single company tried to be named [***.com] to boost the market cap evaluation before listed to NYSE or Nasdaq.

OK, sorry.

Two additional A350F ordered by Cathay Cargo: (Also, program is still on course for introduction into service in the second half on 2027.)

I found it is an older news but seems no one has talked about it.

National carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced a major capacity boost on its busy Nairobi, Kenya–London, United Kingdom (UK) route with the return of its largest aircraft, signalling renewed confidence in long-haul demand.

In a statement, the airline on Monday, March 2, confirmed that it will reintroduce the Boeing 777-300ER on select flights between London Heathrow Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) starting July 17, 2026.

Hopefully we will see the B77W of KQ in the game soon…

Kenya Airways being just 1 aircraft does suck a bit considering Ethiopian is fleshed out fairly well (still needs 757/767 though). You have the 77W, 772, 763 and ofc the 738 which can easily reach MCT. Not including types that hopefully we’ll see in the 737 remodel like the 737 and 733F

Looks cool. Will they have it as the standard livery for A359 (like CZ B787) or that’s only a special livery?

Exciting news from Airbus! The Airbus #A350-1000ULR has completed its first flight marking the start of a two-month flight test campaign! :airplane: Equipped with an additional rear centre tank to increase its range by 1,000 nautical miles, it will enable Qantas to offer non-stop flights between Sydney and London or New York, to overcome one of the last frontiers in aviation. #ProjectSunrise.

Well done #TeamAirbus! :tada:

Very dated 70s color scheme, unfortunate tail paintings, etc. also just the general fact that it was commissioned under dubious circumstances by trump

I actually quite like it, the flag on the tail could be a bit more centralised I agree.

I have to agree with you on the whole James, ignoring the dubiousness of the whole thing and removing politics, it looks alright except that tail is atrocious, not sure who went to clip art to get an American flag but it looks like someone 6 years ago typed ‘American flag’ into google, picked the first they saw and then they’ve rolled with it. Current Air Force One looks miles better so it’d be nice to see one repainted once tangerine chap is out of office.

Looks very soulless, the old presidential plane was unique and stood out

Air France-KLM interested in acquiring a stake in easyJet.

I suppose with EZY having a large presence at both CDG and AMS it makes sense but I wonder what would come of Transavia considering it and EZY have similar strategies. I also hate acquisitions haha. Makes monopolies, just look at trying to fly in the US or Canada now.

Also other Air France-KLM news,

Seems SAS is set to become the new member and ofc TAP potentially in the future. I didn’t know it but SAS is now Skyteam which is cool. No planes painted up yet though. And TAP would also have to swap from Star Alliance which would be interesting.
