:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Star Europe was a French charter airline, owned by the tour operator Look Voyages (49.58%), Gilles Hervouet, a Nantes-based coach operator (22.6%), ASI Aviation (10%) and CΓ©dric Pastour (13%). Founded in 1995, operating to tourist destinations out of Paris-Charles de Gaulle with a fleet consisting of short haul aircraft like the A320s, B733s & the B734s to destinations in Europe & Africa. In October 1997, Star Europe change the airlines name to Star Airlines, to avoid confusion with Eurostar, European railway group.

Star Airlines was a French charter airline, founded in 1998 after the renaming of its predecessor airline, Star Europe. Operating out of multiple bases in France which include Paris, Lille, Nantes and Lyon, with a mixed fleet of short haul aircraft like the A320, medium range aircrafts like A310s & L101s and long range aircraft like A332s to destinations in French territories like French Antilles & Reunion Island, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central America. In February 2006, Star Airlines was under 100% control by the Icelandic group, Avion Group, which owned airlines like Air Atlanta Icelandic and XL Airways, then in November 2006, Avion Group sold its shares to the XL Leisure Group and Star Airlines was renamed to XL Airways France.
