SYD Pre Release Discussion

Not necessarily, with the new base models speed has increased. Devs have hinted that following SYD the next airport would be a smaller one. So 3 in 24 is entirely possible.
LHR took around 3-4 months.

If lhr took 3-4 months(4-5 if you include all the fixes that have and will be made in the first bit of this year) the syd will probably take a bit less since its not as big, especially since they’ve already shown us the model. A question though: Is SYD due to be released before of after the IAD rework?

Hmm… I don’t want to make assumptions, but seems like SYD being in the next update is plausible considering the 3D modelers are essentially free to work on A350 liveries concurrently

Remember, there is still taxiway coding, which is the hardest part

Well hardest and longest part takes about 2 to 6 months

2nd parallel runway is too small right we can only land S planes in that

Where did you even get the picture from?

discord WoA server

See, this airport looks significantly higher quality just form the ground work and taxiways. The devs had no rush to release it and took their time. Compared to LHR, lots of the ground is super rushed.

all because of unity

I agree, Sydney seems to look a lot better that LHR let’s hope they will improve it.

Triple jetways🤩

I’m not seeing where the devs posted this? Is it actually a post form them or is this another game?

This is from the brand that just partnered with WOA. The image I posted was the model created by them, and you can clearly see the inspiration taken by the WOA developers. It explains why the earlier post (the real WOA model) had much more detail than previous airports and was developed in a shorter period of time. I posted those photos to give a better idea of what to expect. It is not an official WOA model.

Moved my livery list to a separate post if anyone’s curious:

Nope 16L/34R is 2438m long, it regularly has 787’s, A330’s, and A350’s using it
