Why should this airline be added?
One of Brazil’s historic legacy airlines, VASP was founded in November 1933 by the state government of São Paulo and operated up until 2005 when it finally succumbed to bankruptcy. It operated the MD-11 which is the reason for suggesting it, but it would be a great airline to have at GRU alongside Varig, TAM and Gol.In the final years, the fleet was made up of the 737-200, -300 and A300. The cargo fleet was the 737-200 and 727-200. The MD-11 was retired in 2001 I believe.
