Denmark’s second busiest airport after Copenhagen, it’s a mid-size airport situated in the centre of the country, 1.5 miles to the North East of the town of Billund. The town itself isn’t too large but is home to the Legoland Resort and the Lego Factory, as well as road connections to all of the country. It has 1 runway 1 passenger terminal and 1 cargo terminal. Runway 09/27 is 3,100m/10,172ft and the terminal building has 10 jetway connected stands, 5 angled stands with jetway access, an 11th and 5 remote stands to the South. 7 cargo stands are situated to the south of the runway.
The airport has a full set of taxiways meaning no backtracking is required for passenger aircraft. Cargo aircraft must enter the runway and backtrack or cross the runway and follow the passenger taxiway to the end for departures and vice versa for arrivals.
