Braniff International Airways was significant for its operational innovations, route development, and industry impact during its existence (1928–1982).

A fun fact is that Braniff operated Concorde between IAD and DFW for a year. They operated BA and AF Concordes for those domestic segments. While they never had an actual aircraft painted in the Braniff livery they did show what the livery would have been and who says no to more Concorde liveries :slight_smile:


GeminiJets even made a model where the port side adorns the proposed Braniff livery and the starboard side wearing the BA livery.

Another Fun fact, Due to the American noise regulations, Braniff Airways Concorde supersonic airliners were limited to Mach 0.95 yet they flew at slightly above Mach 1. :high_voltage:
