Doesn’t work with airports like INN and SXM

As we used to have before 2.0, when a player airplane was waiting for landing, the airport player received a notification saying that a player airplane was waiting for landing, I would to add that mechanic back

I think an ability to assign specific stands to specific planes (even if just for our own fleet planes) would be nice.

When a plane arrives and has an assigned stand (e.g. 103)

  • If the stand is free, the only difference with current UI is that in the plane card where it currently says "landing clearance granted, select stand please. would instead be a button that says “Stand 103”. The other open stands could still be listed to the right as it currently is. If you press the button, it becomes the “clear to land button” as usual
  • If the stand is NOT free, the button should be unavailable, and you could select another stand if you wish.

Alternatively, I would find it an acceptable compromise that if a stand is assigned, you cannot send the plane to another stand. This would basically be the “downside” of using assigned stands vs. assigning a stand manually. Assigning and un-assigning a stand should probably cost silver planes.

I would also add that if a gate is tied to a plane, the Delivery agent in the control tower should only be allowed to assign planes to the dedicated stands if they have one. This way, we can still activate the agent and have it assign stands to planes that have no dedicated stand, but it would ignore the planes with dedicated stands until that specific stand becomes available.

I realise on smaller airports you may have more planes than stands, therefore multiple planes could be assigned to the same stand. I have no idea how feasable my idea is in general, so if that would cause unnecesary difficulty in coding or whatever, I think a compromise that only 1 plane in your airport can be assigned to a stand would be acceptable.

The better option would be to assign airplanes to specific terminals not stands, then you can have them go there but park at any available stands at that specific terminal like LHR for example where you have certain airlines operate out of specific terminals I.e. British out of T3 and 5

My suggestion is that, you need to know which routes are demanding to make more money like that you don’t have to just get any routes.

Nice work on LHR!

…but the approach & start speed still don’t fit to the rest of the game. What’s the sense of having an airport with 200 stands when you can’t handle more than 15 planes at the same time because they are crawling on taxi speed on the runways?

The argument back in the days for this crawling was realism but where’s the realism if your planes fly supersonic to their destinations and back and your ground agents handle them with superpowers? Please consider that in real life planes decrease and increase on those exit taxiways and not on half of the runway. If devs refuse to speed up the runways everything else has to be slowed down to realistic times.

I’m playing LHR with 110 contracts at the moment and about 60 planes are holding for landing all the time. I’d love to add more contracts but it doesn’t make any sense. This is not funny nor realistic. I’d love to pay some extra money to speed runways up if there is an option to do so (those 6% promised by the tower agent seems to be not working or has nearly zero effect).

  1. we should have the option/availability of choosing which airlines we want in each airport and not only stick to the real thing. Right now we have a mix of these two options

  2. The time between landing planes and dispatching them should be adjusted since the airport is most of the times empty. Dispatching the planes while on ground is way faster than landing them and getting them to the gates.

  3. If possible correct the space given between airplanes when one of them is pushing back and the one that is already on the taxiway has to stop. They get way to close when pushing back is done

  4. Dont know if it possible to add emergencies or failures from time to time?

  5. Possibility to change the runways direction for example due to wind change? Or select the runways used to departure and landings when there are 2 runways available?

  6. a321, 739, 767 will be included? What about Qatar a388?

  7. An option to get more workers since when we get to many contracts (especially L and X contracts) it takes to many workers to deal with a single plane

  8. Several european airlines could be included (if you take the n1 suggestion in consideration) like “Air Moldova”, “Sata”, “Air Europa”, “Vueling”, “Norwegian”, “Tarom”, “Air Serbia”, “Blue1”, “Aeroflot”, “Adria” as long as many other companies around the world or at least the national airlines for each country available in game

  9. Possibility to edit the type of contract associated to a gate. For example if i want to sell the S option of a gate i should be able to do it

  1. **you have this option regardless, you can pick exactly what’s available, if you don’t want Ryanair for example don’t pick it. **
  2. **This is designed by the devs in a certain way, using the tower agent will speed things up, but devs aren’t planning to change this as of yet. One way to do it is to allow a bunch of planes to land initially, build up a number of them and then handle them as normal, i’ve managed to get up to 60 at LHR on the ground at a time and it works well for me. **
  3. they can only work with the space they have, they have spent a lot of time fixing it and frankly right now it’s about as good as it’s going to get
  4. Emergencies will likely not happen due to using real life airlines. Maintenance issues and ground issues may happen in the future
  5. Not at this time, the coding of the game requires single direction use, Devs are aware of this and keep looking at it, but it requires a total addition to the coding of the game and there are other things to work on at the moment
  6. **I thought the Qatar 388 is already in the game, is there is specific route you are missing it on, you can use the missing info threads to add to the list. **
  7. you don’t have to use all the workers to handle them, it will also have more planes available to handling if you don’t. Also you can always buy a premium pass, or additional workers in the shop
  8. a number of those airlines are in the game. Aeroflot is not due to the thing with Ukraine and I don’t think Air Serbia is in, but the others most definitely are, you just need to find them. I have Vueling, and Norwegian at some of my airports

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the number one my point was exactly the possibility to include for example ryanair, easyjet and wizzair to LHR if we want even tough they do not operate there in real life. Regarding the rest i appreciate the reply and keep up the awesome work!! The game is incredible
I will report the qatar a388 from doha to LHR as missing but will check it first

Yeah the a380s from the middle east to Europe are spotty for some reason, you can’t get half of them at LHR and none of them at prg

Since this is the spot to complain and wish lol, I have one or two things I agree with and would love to see change:

  1. Sound:
    A. The sound bites for the planes are fine, but… can we get a Doppler effect mechanic? The planes sound like they’re shrinking instead of passing by.
    B. An option to turn off ATC, or a major overhaul to fix it. In its current state it’s all but worthless as it’s usually reading off interactions of the aircraft from 5 minutes prior (landing clearance when it’s already on the ground approaching the gate) etc. When you switch planes it still tries to finish the dialogue for the previous plane(s), so it’s silent until it finishes in the background instead of cutting it off and just starting anew.

  2. Taxi:
    A. As others have mentioned, landing and takeoff speeds ARE correct as far as I can see… BUT… they slow down far far far too early in most cases, failing to utilize high-speed taxiways as high-speed taxiways and clogging up the runway for the next action.
    B. Planes taxi too fast near the terminals and most other areas. Not as big of a thing for me, but it’s stark contrast to the landings being too slow.

  3. Jetways:
    A. Mostly fine. Just noticed they don’t attach to certain small aircraft like CRJs, even though they do most of the time IRL.

  4. UI:
    A. As someone who loves realism, I strive to have accurate contracts matching RL. It’s very frustrating though remembering/checking what I have versus getting new ones. I wish the contract search map could in some way show which route/airport has contracts already and how many, maybe even with lines on the map. Memory only helps me so much before I get to 50-75 contracts or more.

That’s it. I won’t be sad if all the above gets shot down and ripped apart. Just seemed like the right place to vent my frustrations and wishes for the game. I won’t grovel to the devs who might not even read this but I do appreciate their limited bandwidth and hard work on an amazing game.

Will need to look back at a picture I did with both next to each other.

Simple option is wait for more aircraft to land before starting on the aircraft. You forgetting in real world aircraft overnight at airport and aren’t running 24/7 like in the game. And aircraft exiting runway to taxiway is correct for LHR.

Don’t put the full amount of ground staff on the aircraft, I only do it as soon it goes from red to green.

What about to change RWY Takeoff and landing directions with the weather?

Not happening anytime soon. Requires a complete doubling of the coding for the landing pathways, which will exponentially increase the complexity. So while the devs want to do it, it’s not going to be a priority unfortunately

Some suggestion that really could help the game (and would increase my playtime by about 1000%): an offline mode for the game, would help so much because than you could play the game while traveling aswell (player arrivals would ofc be disabled during that time but you could still send your own planes maybe to player airports but they can only arrive when you have internet again maybe or they couldn’t fly to a player in that time and the player airports act like non player airports than)

You can’t get Qatar A380 at LHR. Even though in real world they do serve Heathrow.

i can unterstand this and it´s ok so.

But i would have another idea to improve the capacity of airports with two runways, when an airport will build new, and this should have two runways or more. Please choose for landing planes which one, where no airplanes have to depart or crossing also.

Background: The time a runway is occupied is for landing planes longer, than for departing. If so the landing runway is used for other movements, the capacity of planes who can searved will be reduced massive.

For example: in MCT and LHR also could be more planes at a certain time handled, when the use of runways would be changed generelly. In LHR only landing at RWY 26R and departing/crossing at RWY 26L.

Maybe it´s possible to consider this in the furure.
