Prague Airport/Václav Havel Airport Prague
(IATA: PRG, ICAO: LKPR)

General Info:
Prague is the first airport in the game which is capable of servicing all 4 tiers of planes. It is located in the capital of the Czech Republic and serviced around 17 million passengers last year.
Unlock requirement: reach level 40 at BRI

Airport Overview

The airport features one OPERATIONAL runway with 4 taxiways. RWY 24 is the active one. RWY 12, which is perpendicular, is not used in-game, it cannot be activated, and at this point never will be. This has been repeatedly confirmed by the devs. RWY 12 is rarely used in real life. The 4 taxiways merge into two main taxiways (more on that later).

This is an overview of the airport. In this picture, you can see most of the terminals and the active runway. All planes take off and land from this side of the runway.

There are a maximum of 83 contract capacity and 89 handling crew without the premium pass, or 99 and 105 with it. This is decent but not spectacular for a single runway airport.

Aircraft categories and expected arrivals

All aircraft categories are accepted at PRG. Airlines are mostly European, and tend to be low-cost carriers like Ryanair, Wizz, and Smartwings.

A and B planes: There are no local DHC-6s, which are the only A-class aircraft. You will find some B-class planes, although they are mostly regional or international, with the exception of Czech’s AT76s.
C and D planes: The most common aircraft at PRG are A320s and 737s, of course. Specifically, Ryanair and Smartwings operate 737s, while Wizz and Eurowings operate A320 family aircraft. Czech operates both. Regionally, you will find more of those, as well as large numbers of A220s and Embraers. For D-class planes, you can find many, mostly 767s and 757s, across much of the world, from eastern Asia, through Africa, to North America and even parts of South America.
E, F, and G planes: With most of the world, excluding some parts of Oceania, at your reach, you can get just about anything in PRG. That said, the A350 is quite common because the fringes of that swath of airports can be accessed only using the A350’s massive range.

Local contracts:

Cargo- all cargo planes can land at this airport.

Stands, airport layout, costs

1 A/B stand
20 A-C stands
4 C-E stands
4 C-F stands
4 A-C cargo stands
1 C-F cargo stand
1 C-G cargo stand

Here are the full airport overviews, with and without purchasable stands. These pictures were created by Geo, and have not been updated since the release of 3.0, which is why they are still the old black, gray, and green color scheme.

ABOVE: Here are all the A/B stands at Prague. There are 21 of these stands here. The bottom 6 stands are numbered left to right 70 to 76. The middle row is labeled T6 & 60 to 65. The top row is labeled 50 to 57. There is also an additional stand that can only accommodate E sized planes (58).

ABOVE: This is the terminal that has 4 C stands (1, 2, 6, 7). There are also two EF stands (3 and 5).

ABOVE: This terminal has 4 C stands as well (9, 11, 15, 16). There are also 2 EF stands (13 and 14).

ABOVE: This terminal has 5 C stands (17, 18, 19, 20). There are also 2 EF stands (22 and 23)

ABOVE: This final terminal is all C stands. There are 7 stands (25 to 31).

ABOVE: Here are the 6 cargo stands. 2 EFG and 4 C cargo planes can land here at one time. It is located closest to the departure end of the runway.

Cargo: Unlocking cargo operations requires you to purchase the terminal first.

Aircraft Movement (Taxi Paths)

The movement of airplanes is straightforward.

Green is inbound taxi, red is outbound.

Random notes

Do not buy more than 4-6 A/B stands. Cargo is highly recommended, because you will receive more XP from cargo flights than from passenger ones, but only if you can afford to max out all required service vehicles, including especially the cargo vehicles. This is because cargo turnarounds are incredibly slow, especially in the early game. When you are used to C aircraft, and maybe occasionally as high as E at Bari, having to turn a 747 or A380, or especially an Antonov, can be jarring. They require MANY handling crew, up to 23 for the largest Antonovs, and take up to an hour to handle, depending how many crew you assign.

Limitations

Similarly to BRI, PRG is limited by the single runway it operates. Furthermore, it is limited by the fact that the taxi times for anything but S planes are very long. However, the optimal strategies for it are more focused on mostly C class aircraft anyway, with a scattering of E and F for support, so that taxi isn’t a disaster as long as you play for 40 or so minutes to counter the 5 needed to warm up the airport.

Levels

There are 64 levels in PRG
Reaching level 51 unlocks IAD

Hidden Achievement

Near Terminal 3 (South terminal) is a special historical event with DC-3 that will fly away when touched.
As with all hidden achievements, you must wait ten minutes after entering the airport before it will appear.

Connectivity (for player planes)

This section is a work in progress.

Player strategies

@Thatflyerguy suggests: Although most contracts at PRG are low-cost carriers, you should try to get full-service airlines where possible, because you will earn more from them. LCCs do not pay for gates so have lower payments to you.
