Why should this airline be added?
This airline is currently not available in the game. Adding it would allow contracts from Russia.
I like to try and cover every livery the airline operated lol. Also just prefer the old livery personally, felt more fun with the people on it and less corporate though I don’t mind the new one.
@ukplanespotter757 Yes, I understand that this really surprised you. That’s why, in order to add the requests I had written down in my notes a long time ago, I decided to clarify it yesterday.
Even though these airlines don’t exist at the moment, we’re still discussing and suggesting a wide range of different airlines, liveries, and aircraft types — if you look at all of this from an aviation enthusiast’s perspective.
And in any case, this is just another suggestion, like many others about aircraft types, liveries, or airlines, each of which has its own timeline — some appeared earlier, some later.
@Royston2712 Yes. At the moment, I’ve submitted requests for 14 airlines, and so far only 3 have been added — I’m really looking forward to the rest.
I’m not an expert on alliances, but as far as I understand, Aeroflot’s membership in SkyTeam is currently suspended by agreement. S7’s situation is similar — their participation in Oneworld is also suspended, without a formal full exit. What will happen next is unknown.
At the same time, I can still earn miles with some former partners — for example, S7 still accepts miles for flights with Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Malaysia Airlines. Aeroflot has a similar arrangement with China Eastern, China Southern, Vietnam Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, and a few others. So, when flying with international airlines that are part of Oneworld or SkyTeam, you can still accumulate miles on your S7 or Aeroflot account, even though full alliance cooperation, as I understand it, no longer works.
